We have great news. This year in celebration of our 30 years in business, we are offering a free online sampler quilt pattern. Here’s the quilt!

Each month, on the first of the month, throughout 2013 come to our blog and we will have a printable pattern to make both a 12″ and a 6″ block. Make and collect all the blocks throughout the year. Then at the end of the year we will give you instructions on how to put the blocks together to make the quilt.
We used our scrap basket but we know many of you don’t have a such an extensive scrap basket so we are offering a fat quarter pack to get you started.
If you are short on time make only the 12″ blocks, put them together in a 3 x 4 layout for a 36” x 48” quilt” quilt. If you use pastel colors, you’ll have a baby sampler quilt ready to give as a gift at the end of the year. If you make only the 6″ blocks you can put them together to make a 18″ x 24″ wall hanging.
The possibilities are endless. Won’t you join us? Hope to see you here on January 1st for the first pattern installment.
Welcome to Country Threads Chicken Scratch, where we share the daily happenings of our unique Iowa quilt shop in a chicken coop.
