Miscellaneous Saturday

Rick got home yesterday – the dogs were delirious! He is wheelchair bound and I am his slave wifey – haha!

This is a typical picture – foot up, Hazel in his lap and the remote in his hand.

And for all of you who thought this was a tennis shoe, look carefully – it’s an old farm work rubber.

Last week at this time we were enduring a blizzard and church was cancelled for the next day. It’s melting but not fast enough for most of us!

So happy for all of you!! Hazel looks so happy.

Just try to make sure he has all he needs near enough to reach. That way he can’t call you back and back and back for what he needs. lol

So, in the old farm work rubber, do I spy some of the cactus you pruned?

Was it Rick’s boot he doesn’t need at the moment. Husbands have a tendency to be melanoma bound. Be TOUGH or you will go NUTS Be

Glad your snow is melting. Then comes the mud.
Just a note. My good friend’s mother just passed away at the Garner nursing home. Her name is Doris Shear, so I’m sure that you will probably know who she is. Her parents lived in our block in Clarion.

So glad that Rick is better and can be home – looks like the dogs are really happy to have him there, but, too bad they can’t do some of the work that you have to do now. Hopefully he will be able to do somethings soon but you will be be busy I’m sure! Hang in there, hope that this surgery will fix him up!
    Glad to see some Spring!

Oh gosh now the real work begins for you taking care of your husband and holding him back from doing too much. It is wonderful to have him home for all of you .
This must be the start of spring another new beginning
Thank you to your wonderful husband to allow you to share this much of a picture of him
Looks like Hazel is best friends with both of you

As we know, quilts have magic medicine. Ricks foot resting upon a quilted pillow will give him great comfort! Now for Miss Hazel, she brings a smile to everybody…pure comfort.

Fabulous news for the household. While you won’t have to make the trek to see Rick, you’ll be at his beck and call. I’d call it a good trade-off!

Glad Rick is home, best place to be when you’re recovering from a surgery, haven’t seen one of those Farm rubber boots since I was a child. My uncle always had a pair, yes he was a farmer. His were high topped tho. Also reminds me of the shoe Jack “cricket” I have on the hearth. Always by the back door at the farm. Nice memory. Hope winter is done. Prayers for Rick.

So happy to hear Rick’s home, although I’m sure your work load hasn’t lessened. Hopefully the snow will melt and that should be one less thing to worry about. Being chair bound while the foot heals could be a slow process but hopefully he will see a little improvement each day and soon able to do for himself. Good luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery. This too shall pass.

Nice to see Rick back enjoying home n a more restful scene with plenty of TLC.
With our thaw here in Idaho on the mountain, rocks are growing up out of their winter resting places in the sunshine. My heart sort of thumped hard yesterday when someone mentioned remembering snow in May here one year!.
    Alas, all things shall pass.

Nice to see your hubby is home. Whatever you do, don’t give him a bell!!

When I had my tonsils out, I couldn’t yell. So mom gave me a bell and the first time I got up to go potty, the bell disappeared! Hahaha

Maybe while he is sitting there, he can finish potting the rest of the cactus?
